The Pastoral Council is the rudder of our church coracle.  The Council consists of Bishops with valid Apostolic Succession and Abbots/Abbesses of RCC recognized religious orders.  The Pastoral Council guides and mentors the RCC but does not "govern" Her.  We are responsible for equipping the RCC for ministry, clarifying doctrinal issues, and arbitrating disputes when requested.  We remain cognizant that the RCC is a voluntary association of diverse communities... a spiritual organism (the Body of Christ), not a religious institution.
